Can I book Stable Retreat for a day event only?

Yes! We host day events for up to 20 people. Contact us directly for booking availability and pricing. 

How many people does the property accommodate? 

The space sleeps 5 comfortably. The bedroom with a king bed sleeps 2, the fold-out queen bed sleeps 2, and an air mattress sleeps 1. 

Are pets allowed?

Yes! Guests can bring up to three dogs for a one-time, single pet fee. We do not have size restrictions but ask that you tell us the approximate size and breed/breed mix when making the reservation.  We reserve the right to restrict some breeds if we deem there could be a risk to other animals residing on the property at the time. 

Please contact us directly if you plan to travel with more than three dogs. 

Will I share the space with another family? 

No. Booked guests have sole use of the living space. 

Is horseback riding offered?

While we do have horses on the farm, they belong to long-term boarders. At this time we do not offer horse back riding or lessons. The Hunt Club Farm is 0.3 miles away and offers pony rides for children and adults. 

Is there a washer and dryer? 

No, there is no laundry facility on site. We provide extra towels and linens as needed. 

What family-friendly attractions are nearby?

Attractions including the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk, the Virginia Marine Science Museum, the Virginia Aviation Museum, False Cape State Park, Red Wing Park, and Hunt Club Farm are all within a 15 minute drive. 

What dog-friendly venues are nearby? 

Stable retreat is centrally located to multiple breweries and restaurants all offering a dog-friendly environment. These include: Sage Kitchen, Pups and Pints, Reaver Beach Brewing Company, Back Bay's Beach House Brewing, New Realm Brewing Company, Smartmouth Pilot House, and Vibrant Shores Brewing.
